Vintage Simons Brothers Sterling Silver Sewing Thimble. Size 9

This is a very lovely Simons Brothers Vintage Sterling Thimble!  The antique thimble is in good vintage condition.  It has a simple decoration of lines and plain panels and there is no monogram or engraving.  It is marked 9 on the side for its size. It does not have any holes from use.  There is a maker's mark on the inside of a fancy script S the mark for Simons Brothers.  George Washington Simons started his business in 1839 in Philadelphia, PA.  Not marked for sterling but acid tested.  This would make a great addition to your collection or perhaps a gift for your favorite tailor or a friend who sews!
